Brow and lash lamination, makeup in Kyiv

This is the part of our studio in central Kyiv people come to before an event — or simply to spend ten minutes less on themselves every morning for the next few weeks. There are two groups of work here: brow and lash care — shaping, tinting, lamination — that lasts, and makeup and styling done for one particular day.

Brows and lashes

Brow shaping is the basic work everything starts from: the shape is chosen for the features of the face, not for whatever is being worn this season. It can be taken on its own, or together with tinting, when the point is not only to remove what is extra but to add density to fair or greying hairs.

We match the tint half a tone from the natural hair colour rather than to a sample on a screen: a brow darker than the hair reads on the face as drawn on, and it shows in photographs first. So the colour is agreed in daylight, before any work begins.

InLei brow lamination is done together with tinting and shaping and solves a different problem: the hairs are set in the right direction and hold it on their own, with no daily styling. It shows most on unruly brows used to growing in every direction.

InLei lash lamination from the same line includes tinting and a botox treatment. The lashes lift from the root and the eyes open up without extensions — your own length simply stops being hidden. The effect holds for several weeks and fades gradually, with no hard edge.

Makeup and hair

We do makeup of any kind — from an almost invisible daytime look to evening and bridal. The difference is in the task: daytime has to survive an office and daylight, evening has to survive photographs and a flash, bridal has to survive a whole day and the light changing from morning to night.

Hairstyles, curls and blow-dries are a separate item and pair well with makeup in a single visit: when one studio does both back to back, the look comes out whole, and you do not have to cross the city between two appointments.

For events outside the studio the artist can travel to you — this is arranged in advance, since it depends on the address and the time. It is most often booked for a wedding morning, when moving between locations costs more than the service itself, and for shoots, where the look has to be adjusted between frames.

Planning the visit

Before an important date it makes sense to do a trial makeup in advance rather than on the day itself: you see the result in daylight and in photographs, and there is still time to change something. Lamination is also better planned a few days ahead rather than the night before — it looks its best once it has settled.
