Massage in central Kyiv
Massage is the largest part of what we do. Three directions run at the studio on Mala Zhytomyrska in central Kyiv: full body massage, local sessions on a single area, and exotic techniques that are hard to find elsewhere in the city. You choose the length of the session yourself — from a short visit in the middle of a working day to a full hour with nowhere to be.
The difference between the directions is not the pressure, it is the task. One session gives the body back its mobility after a load, another releases the tension collected over a week, a third works with your state — with breathing, with sleep, and with the way you feel your own body at the end of the day. So choose by what brought you here, not by the name on the list.
Among those who give massage at the studio is Lada Novikova, its founder and a physical rehabilitation specialist by training. She describes her approach to a session herself — in her address on the home page.
Full body massage
The core of the programme is five sessions, each with its own character. Harmony lifts fatigue and restores emotional balance: slow, soft work with no pain, after which you want to sleep. The classic wellness session works harder — it improves circulation and releases muscles that stiffened over a day in a chair. The signature session is built for one particular body: the therapist chooses the methods from what the hands see and feel, so no two of them are ever the same.
Sports massage is the most intense on the list. People book it after heavy loads, when lactic acid has to be flushed and the muscles returned to working condition. The four hands session stands apart: two therapists work in sync, and the brain simply stops tracking where the touch comes from — the fastest way we know to switch off the inner monologue.
Local sessions
When one particular place hurts, there is no reason to pay for the whole body. The neck and shoulder area is the most common request among people who spend the day in front of a monitor. The back is taken separately when the load falls on the lower spine. Facial massage works with the small muscles that hold tension without their owner noticing, and a scalp massage pairs well with it in a single visit.
Padabhyanga is work with the feet in the Indian tradition; the foot gathers zones connected to the whole body, so the session is felt far beyond the foot itself. Hand massage covers what suffers from the keyboard, the steering wheel and the phone.
Exotic techniques
We assembled this section from techniques that rarely appear together in one place. Gua sha is Chinese work with scrapers along the lines of tension. Coconut bowls give a warm, enveloping relaxation. The anti-cellulite programme combines manual technique, gua sha and bamboo and works on the legs and stomach. Cupping we give together with stone therapy, alternating vacuum and the warmth of the stones.
Yumeiho therapy is Japanese alignment of the pelvis and spine, after which the way the body stands changes. The Tibetan honey and chocolate sessions work with the skin as much as with the body. Ayurvedic abhyanga runs on warm oils, and shirodhara — a steady pouring of oil onto the forehead — is the deepest state of calm we offer. The lymphatic drainage session is done with a bamboo broom, and stone therapy with hot stones.
